Happy New Year!!

I hope everybody had a safe and happy new year!!

Ours was pretty quiet.  Greg and I took advantage of my visiting sister and went for Sushi. A new place opened up not far from our house called Li-An Sushi so we checked it out.  The owner came from Kinjo which is a pretty good sushi place so we knew it would be good.  But it wasn't good, it was fantastic.  If you live anywhere near Spruce Meadows, you must check it out!!

We came home where I proceeded to have a nice hot bath while reading my Steve Jobs autobiography then we put the kids to bed and watched 2 movies.  We rented The Change Up and 30 Minutes Or Less which were quite possibly the worst 2 movies I watched in 2011.  We closed out the year while watching the Global TV countdown with OLP and Simple Plan and then off to bed we went.

This morning I made these Cinnamon Toast Rolls and they were fantastic.  Not very healthy so definitely a some time treat but a perfect way to kick off the new year.  Nothing too much planned today - perhaps a trip to IKEA to pick up some containers and possibly a new shelving unit followed by dinner at my Aunt's place and then dropping my sister off so she can return to Saskatoon.

I had a pretty good 2011 - I kept in touch with old friends, made some new friends that I can't imagine not having, went on a 2 week camping trip with Greg and the girls to places such as Mount Rushmore and Yellowstone, I was a bridesmaid in my bff's wedding, I met a boatload of new Florizones but best of all I watched my little girls grow up before my eyes.

I never know how one year can top the previous but it somehow always does.  It just goes to show how blessed we all truly are.  I wish everybody a blessed, sweet and most wonderful of Years in 2012.
