I was planning on buying Greg a natural gas bbq for our anniversary and father's day - a combined gift so to speak. I hadn't thought about the logistics yet on how I was going to "surprise" him with it since it weighs a gazillion pounds. Turns out, I didn't need to. We were planning on bbqing supper last night when Greg remembered he had run out of propane a few weeks ago. He was going to go get more propane so I had to tell him what my plan was. He was quite happy so he picked out a bbq and we went and picked it up.
Frunkl Jack came over to help build the new bbq. This is the 3rd one they have built together and first one sober.
Finley getting a lift from her Frunkl Jack.
Finley watching them work. And if you're wondering, yes a UFO did land in our backyard....
Penelope on her swing! Thankfully she LOVES it because she spends a lot of time in it since it keeps her contained while we are doing yard work. She enjoys the movement and looking around at everything going on around her. Finley also loves pushing her.
Finley inside her playhouse making lunch for 2 of her stuffed cats
Jack + Greg still working on the bbq
Finley was very tired and decided she needed a nap. Why can't she decide this during the week when I need a break? I missed the rest of the bbq building because I took advantage of two sleeping kids and laid on the couch to catch up on some csi ny + blue bloods.
The finished product. It is beautiful. Greg commented how much he loved cooking on a new grill. I think this most definitely qualifies me for best wife of the year! HAHA. We just need a bbq cover for it since we don't have one. The other one was nice enough to need one.
Greg cooking his first meal on the bbq
Chicken Kabobs with grilled potatoes + carrots. Finley ate half of the peppers you see in this picture. She LOVES peppers. I managed to get some chicken into her as well as some carrots but no mushrooms or potatoes.
Happy Early Anniversary Greg!!
****our anniversary is May 20th so it's only a few weeks early!
