The other day I was reading my friend Jyl's blog where she mentioned suffering from a severe migraine from hell. Having been suffering from migraines for about 13 years now, I empathized with what she was going through. I still remember that first migraine. It was pure hell and I had no idea what to do. I remember sitting on the stairs when my mom came home and crying because I was in so much pain. They suck and unless you have ever had one, you truly have no idea what they are like. I am so envious of people like my sister or Greg who rarely even get headaches. I wish.
Anyways, as I was commenting on her post, I thought out loud to myself, "It's been awhile since I've had a migraine...."
Wouldn't you know it that last night I woke up in the middle night with - you guessed it - a migraine. It was not how I wanted to start my week - especially since Greg had to go to work. I took an abundance of drugs and eventually it worked. I am so very grateful that both girls slept in, were well behaved + napped so that I could recover. I have to admit that Sesame Street, Treehouse + the Country Music Awards I pvr'd last night helped occupy Finley a lot. She loved all the performances and spent a good portion of 3 hours dancing. I was starting to feel better around 5 so that was nice.
The worst part (aside from the pain) was having to miss the South Calgary Mom + Tots Easter Party!! I was so disappointed that we couldn't go. I had our potluck meal and our eggs ready to be decorated! Thankfully, Michelle still has the goody bags so Finley should be happy with that.
I am heading to bed early today as I have a busy day tomorrow of laundry, cleaning, groceries and making baby food. I actually ran out of both fruit and pureed veggies today. Not the best thing to happen when you are dying. Thankfully I had some banana's and frozen veggies that worked in a pinch.
Hope you all had a much better Monday than we did!!!
