Easter EGGstravaganza

On Wednesday morning, we decided it was time to decorate our Easter Eggs.  This would be Finley's first time doing them EVER and my first time in many, many, many years.  My biggest concern was that most mess would be contained.

Finley could barely contain her excitement.

Finley insisted that Penelope be naked too even though she was just a spectator in this

All the Easter Eggs sitting in their dishes.  Only the 2 ikea cups on the end worked so after those 2 were finished, I dumped and poured the other containers in.  Took a bit longer then I had anticipated.

Finley dipping the eggs + testing to see if they were coloured enough.

I figured since there were 8 egg holders that we would make 8 eggs but I broke one so we only had 7 eggs to decorate which turned out to be plenty.  We had to wait for them to dry before continuing on to the next stage...

Painting the eggs time!  We had glitter paint to make them all nice and pretty for Easter!

She started out nice and slow, careful not to mix or anything.  It did come with 3 paintbrushes but somehow we lost 2 so mixing was bound to happen...

Finley looking very concentrated on her egg decorating...

An hour later the eggs were finished and drying and both her hands + belly looked like this so it was straight to the bathtub while the eggs dried.

7 beautiful eggs...

A close up of the first 3

And the final 4....

Finley had a complete blast decorating the eggs and we can't wait to do it next year especially since Penelope will be able to help out next year!

Looking forward to our next Easter Fun Activity on Saturday when we hit up the Easter Extravaganza at Bass Pro Shops in CrossIron Mills.....Maybe we'll see you there!
