These Boots Were Made For Walking.....

I had wanted a new pair of boots forever.  I had a pair when I moved to Saskatoon and somehow only one made the move here.  Then like 2 years later, I found the other one.  I was so angry that I had wasted boots when apparently I had them both all along!

I never really got around to buying boots despite numerous trips to the mountains when I could have used them.  But with the Heritage Classic, the Alumni game and the Hitmen/Pats game all coming up and all being played outdoors, I decided I really needed to get a pair.  My beloved UGGS were just not gonna cut it.  So  I looked online at like a gazillion different boots and saw a bunch that I liked.  I really like a pair of NorthFace ones but they were sold out everywhere and if they did have em they were in like size 10 or 11 which really doesn't work for me.  And I was worried about buying boots online and hating them and then having to ship them back and so on.

I was all befuddled about the boot situation and really wasn't sure what to do.  On Friday, I had to go to MEC to buy a bag for Michelle and mail it back to her in Saskatoon.  While we were there, Greg suggested we look at shoes since he was wanting a new pair of runners.  So I went upstairs and was looking at the boots and was upset to see that they had no lady boots.  None.  But then I noticed the kids boots went up to size 6.  So I tried on two different pairs and settled on the following:

A pair of black and pink Sorels in size 5 for only $39.00!!  Yes $39.00!!

I was quite excited because they were super cheap and I had been looking for a similar pair at Town Shoes that were solid black and were $159 and even though I would have preferred solid black it wasn't worth an extra $120.  My sister told me they looked like something Avril Lavigne would wear.  Oh well, I am glad they are pink and black and not something more hideous!

These will definitely come in handy for the upcoming winter games, shovelling the walk and playing outside with the girls!!  I am very happy with my purchase!!

  1. I am so jealous of you being able to buy in the kids section. Even if I cut off all my toes I don't think I would fit a size 5 or size 6 boot. I really like them I would love to get a pair for myself in that design, but I am strange like that sometimes.
