Fascinating Finley

Finley has grown up so much lately!  She is talking so much but only when she wants to.  Some of her new words/sayings are:

"What's that say?"
"You(r) well" (her version of your welcome)
"Do you want some"
She still loves "why?" and "no"
"All done"
"tank you"
"no-k"
"Hi Baby"
"Go Away"
"Go go go"
"Push"
"Where go"
"Here go"
"I do"

I am probably missing some but this is all I can think of at the moment!

She loves to count and try to sing the alphabet when she watches Sesame Street.  She also sings along to Elmo's World and to Abby's Flying Fairy School.  She twinkle thinks all the time....hahah

She loves to do the same things to her dolls and stuffed animals as we do to Penelope.  In the above photo, Penelope had just finished up some tummy time on this map and within seconds this is what followed.

She loves to pose and make funny faces for the camera.  I have tonnes of her doing stuff like this.  She is just so sweet!

She loves to give kisses + hugs to both me + Penelope and sometimes to her daddy.  She loves to cuddle on the couch and insists that your arm be wrapped around her and she does the same to you.

She loves to roar like a tiger or a lion.  If you have ever seen the commercial for Kinectimals for Kinect on Xbox, she imitates them all the time.  I am hoping and praying that the Wii comes out with a similar game because Finley would LOVE it!

She loves to sing and perform.  She is still loving on anything Taylor Swift but still loves Taio Cruz, Flo Rida, Katy Perry, The Black Eyed Peas + Glee.  She sings and dances all of the time.  She also goes completely insane when The Doodlebops come on.  She imitates their actions throughout the show and even  breakdances with Moe and does the pledge with them.  I seriously need to have my video camera when she does this because it is absolutely priceless!!

She loves to play with Penelope and always makes sure Penelope  has toys to play with.  Usually she takes them all back minutes later but it's the thought that counts, right?

She and her baby were going to go for a car ride I am guessing.  I love that her doll has Penelope's toque on and everything!

She loves to help out in the kitchen.  She usually helps Greg because I hate cooking and baking too much to have her help me but occasionally I will.  So far, she has helped bake sweet and sour meatballs, pancakes, waffles, various cookies and muffins and loves getting  the bread, jam and peanut butter ready for her sandwiches!

She is still not potty trained but we are definitely making improvements.  Last week she pooped in the potty - not because she wanted to but because she wanted to wear panties and I heard her grunting in squat position so I grabbed her and threw her on the potty.  She didn't scream like she did when she peed and she did learn the word "poop" so that is a good thing.  When she wants her diaper changed, she pulls down her pants, takes her diaper off and sits on the potty and then usually asks for a diaper or panties to put on.  So I am hoping peeing on the potty will come soon.

She is continuing her artistic talents on various pieces throughout the house plus her coloring and painting books.  She loves doing her puzzles and playing with her building blocks.  I think I am gonna break out her Memory game because she seems to have a good eye for matching colors and such so she may be ready for it!

She loves to wear my shoes - especially those that are heels and make noise.  Here above she is wearing my shoes, scarf and toque.  She was quite pleased with herself.

Her favorite food at the moment is peanut butter and jam sandwiches.  We made the switch to natural peanut butter because she was consuming so much peanut butter and we use sugar free jam.  She never noticed a difference and would eat them for all 3 meals if I let her.   You will notice in some pictures the jam on her face.  I just wish she ate the crusts though.  I find crusts EVERYWHERE.  And even if I cut the crusts off, she still won't eat around the edges.  It's a no-win situation!!

Here are her stuffed animals all diapered up in Penelope's diapers.  She was not happy when I had to undress them so I could use on Penelope.  You will also see her dolls/animals dressed in Penelope's clothes. Finley is getting over her aversion of naked dolls + animals.

Here she is wearing my biking top as a dress over top of her pajamas.  She is using "play" lipstick on her and her cat.  She loves to wear lip gloss, deodorant and perfume.  Usually I just put deodorant on her with the lid on.  She also loves putting on hand lotion and head  bands.  She is also getting better with pony tails but it's definitely a work in progress.  She loves to wear bracelets and necklaces.  her favorite bracelet right now is one she got from Great Uncle Glen + Great Grandpa Jim.  She is obsessed with it.

More dress up!  Her favorite book right now is Brown Bear and is read to her every single night.  We couldn't find it the other night and she was not pleased.  Thankfully, Greg has it memorized so he recited it to her.  I found it the following day while cleaning her room.  We had to child proof her closet because her favorite thing to do at night when she should be sleeping was to take all the clothes off the lower rod in her closet.  I was NOT pleased with this at all.  You can buy at Bo Bebe if you are interested in them.  I need to get them for Penelope's room now because Finley likes to mess up her room too when her room is already really messed up!

Here she is feeding her cat the same day that Penelope had her first feeding of rice cereal.  It was pretty cute.  She went and got a spoon and bowl and pretended to mix it up and fed her cat the same way I did with Penelope.

There are probably more things that she has done but that's all I got for now.  Will blog as they happen or come to me.  Hoping to keep up more with the Blog.  I apologize for slacking lately.
