This morning I took Penelope for her 4 month vaccination appointment. She weighed in at a hearty 15lbs and 14 ozs. That's almost what Finley weighed at 6 months! She is 63cm long - not sure what that is in inches unfortunately. She is the 90th percentile for both. Finley was in the 55th percentile from birth until 18 months and then she shot up to the 95th percentile!
The nurse looked at Penelope's head and said very happily that her head had rounded out quite nicely. I still kinda think it's flat though so we will continue with tummy time. She asked what I thought did the trick and I replied lots of tummy time. Seriously, what was she expecting for an answer? Thankfully, the nurse was super nice.
Penelope cried briefly when the needles were in her but was as happy as a clam when we were done. Finley was also very well behaved while we were there. I told her she could pick out something at the Gap for being such a big girl.
This is what she picked:
It's a pink sparkly glittery headband. She enjoys wearing it but it unfortunately leaves glitter on her hands which she does not really like. You win some, you lose some I guess.
Here is a photo of my big girl Penelope from today:
Bridget was 16 lb at 1 year old!!!!
