This morning I put Finley on the potty as I do every morning when she first gets up. All of a sudden she started screaming so I picked her up. I felt something wet and I looked and there was a tiny droplet in the potty and on the rim of the potty seat. I said it was ok because that is what big girls like her were supposed to do. All of sudden, she started peeing as she was standing so I quickly sat on her the potty where she screamed. I told her she was awesome and that I was so proud of her and that we could finally put a sticker on her princess potty tiara and on her Sesame Street Chart. She wasn't totally happy until I got her diaper back on and I told her how awesome she was and gave her a bunch of high fives. She was especially thrilled to be dumping her pee in the toilet and flushing it.
Clearly, we have a lot of work ahead of us in this whole potty training thing but I am SO HAPPY I finally have something to be optimistic about!!
