Today Finley went to visit Dr. Bernhardt for her 2 year check up. She weighed in at 31 pounds which puts her between the 75th + 90th percentile and is 35 inches tall which is in the 75th percentile so she is definitely tall for her age. According to an old wives tail, she will end up being approximately 5 foot 10. She definitely is taking after her daddy!
I was a little concerned about Finley's vocabulary going into this appointment. I was worried that perhaps she wasn't using her words enough + was possibly behind for her level. So I started keeping track of her words a few weeks ago + she was up to just over 30 words and was able to use 2 words together at a time. Dr. Bernhardt said that she was at the expected level of a two year old and that we should ensure that she continues spending time with kids her age and practice with her. Maybe now that she's 2 she will sit or lay down long enough for us to read her a story!!
All in all, the visit went very well and Dr. Bernhardt was quite pleased with her progress!!
We celebrated her great appointment by going to Wal-Mart + purchasing some halloween decorations + new trick or treat pails for next year - all at 50% off!!!
