For various reasons (mostly medical), we hadn't carved a pumpkin since Halloween 2007, so it was pretty exciting to be able to do a couple this year, especially with Finley + Penelope now here! I was really hoping that this would be something that Finley would enjoy but maybe next year.....
She was not impressed with the goo on the top of the pumpkins at all....
For some reason Greg thought it would be good if Finley put her hands inside the pumpkin to feel the pumpkin guts.
Apparently he forgot that she HATES her hands being dirty - especially with wet, sticky, stringy, slimy stuff.....
She was not at all impressed.
She did like touching the pumpkin until Greg threw pumpkin guts on it so she'd be forced to touch it. She did, however, help put the insides of the pumpkin + the seeds into the bowl if daddy missed. Which he started to do on purpose. She left when he began putting it on her arms + legs.
Greg getting the stencil ready to do pumpkin #1
Finley taking a look at the end result. She wasn't too impressed until....
She saw Mr. Skeleton are lit up! She kept saying ooooh and wowww it was quite cute!
Here is pumpkin #2 - which was done by freehand incase you guys couldn't tell.....hahah
It was especially fitting considering the Riders are taking on the Lions today!
Both pumpkins all lit up before going outside!
Hopefully this pumpkin won't result in our house getting egged or vandalized. There's a kid down the street who trash talks us all the time after seeing a Rider flag in our garage...
Happy Halloween Everybody!
